CJ's Gourmet Alfredo Sauce
Have you ever wondered how to make a great Alfredo Sauce? You won't wonder anymore because you will now have the Secret. Maybe not their secret, but you could challenge Bobby Flay in a throwdown and Win With This One!
This is way too Easy! Now, Listen and Learn.
One third of a stick of unsalted butter goes into a medium saucepan on a little lower than medium heat. Remember, medium and low works very well with Alfredo Sauce, take your Time.
Now, when the butter is melted, not burned, add 2/3 of a Tablespoon of all purpose Flour, no Self Rising allowed. Stir the flour in the simmering butter until it is consistent, do not overheat it, medium to slow heat, you have to watch this. This is easy though!
Next, add One Cup or another Half cup of Heavy Whipping Cream to the mixture and stir, stir, stir. After your first time, you will lose your virginity and understand what I am talking about. So......., the amount of Cream and Parmesan Cheese will determine how much of this sauce you want to make.
Now slowly add, about 6 ounces of grated parmesan cheese not shredded. No shredded and no self rising flour! Stir, stir, stir. Slow on very low heat by now or you will burn the bottom.
You already know how to cook pasta 'al dente', before it's too done and mushy so your pasta is cooked..
Finally, add a little basil, oregano, or minced garlic and you will be on top with this sauce from now on. This is my recipe and my own style.
